Keep an eye on your inbox for important information about your myID.
Published 19 November 2024
If you use myID to access government online services, you’ll receive an email soon to let you know about the new name and look of myID. You may have also received an email about this in the lead up to the change from myGovID.
You’ll also receive an email when:
- your myID has been set up on another device
- you update your myID details, such as your myID email address or name.
When you receive an email about your myID, always check it has been sent from the myID mailbox.
You’ll never be asked to set up a new myID, for your confidential details, to click on a hyperlink, open an attachment or download a file.
If you're ever unsure whether an email is really from myID, forward it to ReportScams@ato.gov.au. Don't reply or click on any links or attachments.
