Use your myID app to access over 140 government online services.

You didn't receive your four-digit code Press enter to expand or collapse section

You may see this error if you've bookmarked or started at the myID login page. As there are over 140 services that can be accessed using myID, if you start at the login page then myID won’t be able to determine which service you want to access.

Close the browser and if applicable delete the bookmark. Open a new browser and begin at the service you were trying to access.

If your browser shows the 4-digit code when logging into an online service, but your app won't let you enter it, you may need to check you've provided the correct myID email address. To do this in your app, select My identity and check your myID email.

Go back to your browser and enter the corresponding myID email. This should now send the prompt to your app.

Mobile coverage Press enter to expand or collapse section

You don’t need mobile phone coverage to use the myID app, but you do require a stable internet connection.

If you’re experiencing issues with your internet connection, try an alternative connection that is more reliable (wi-fi, cellular or mobile broadband).

Selecting myID as your Digital ID Press enter to expand or collapse section

You may have noticed changes to the login process when accessing some government online services with your myID. This is because myID is part of the wider Australian Government Digital ID System.

You’ll be given the option to select myID as your Digital ID. You’ll need to provide consent to share the information presented on screen with the service you’re accessing. Depending on the online service you’re accessing, this can be limited to your name, date of birth and contact details.

The Australian Government Digital ID System provides additional privacy and security assurances for you. The service you’re accessing won’t know you’re using myID, and your myID won’t know what service you’re accessing. Your personal information will also remain encrypted and secure.
